Al Thuraya holdings Announcement

Dear Al Thuraya Holdings community and friends,

As the situation with the coronavirus quickly evolves, please know that we have taken proactive steps to protect our staff and partners, and the communities across the globe where we live and work. We have a team dedicated to our response during this challenging time, and we are taking guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization, and localities where we work.

As of this week, all of our offices around the globe are closed, with staff working through virtual means, except for our global operations centers. While work travel and major events are suspended, we are actively deploying other ways to make mission progress even during these uncertain times. We are shifting to virtual and digital platforms such as webinars. I would like to thank our companies, Ocho Energy and Al Thuraya Consultancy, for the delivery of crew vessels and logistical support on the coast of Mexico and continuing to support our oil and gas customers during this crisis. Big thanks to our offsite security teams in Egypt, Iraq, Nigeria, Mexico, Lebanon, Uganda, DRC, Libya, and Algeria who are on the frontline protecting our customers both on land and offshore.

The guidance is clear that “social distancing” helps slow the spread of this virus. As our team in Italy faced the first wave of COVID-19 outbreak we closed the office in February and supported our team in working from home as possible, while balancing the emerging needs of their families and communities.

This is a very difficult and uncertain time for everyone, but we are not losing sight of the importance of our work. We remain committed to help our global community build back better and remain dedicated to our mission of ensuring a clean, prosperous low-carbon energy future for the world. We hope you and yours are staying healthy and we look forward to better times for our continued work together.

Sincerely,

Michael J Padilla Pagan Payano
