Al Thuraya Consultancy is currently hiring for one of its multinational clients in the oil and gas sector for the position of Senior Accountant based in Cairo, The candidate must have previous experience in Multinational organization, Preferable Oil & gas Industry.
This position represents an excellent opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to join a well-established multinational organization and contribute to high-standard financial operations, governance, and regulatory compliance within a complex business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full reconciliation of transactions
- Prepare and process bank transfers and oversee settlement of financial obligations
- Handle intercompany transactions and support PO and ATC processes
- Prepare and review monthly closing reports and annual financial statements in line with internal and international standards
- Support tax compliance activities including VAT, WHT, non-resident tax and annual returns, ensuring adherence to Egyptian regulations
- Issue and manage invoices through the Egyptian E-Invoicing Portal in compliance with governmental requirements
- Prepare journal entries, maintain general ledger accounts, and perform detailed account reconciliations
- Provide strong support during external audits and participate in budgeting and forecasting cycles
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- 7 to 10 years of progressive experience within multinational organizations, in the oil and gas industry
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP
- Excellent knowledge of Egyptian taxation, VAT, WHT, and e-invoicing regulations
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and analytical capability
- Ability to perform in a structured, fast-paced, and compliance-driven environment
